How many Tales of Larkin books are there and what are they about?
Part 2
In my last post I spent some time describing the first three books in the Tales of Larkin series. Read more about that here. In this article I am going to be covering new ground for most of you. Books four and five in the Tales of Larkin series are written but have never been released. Please know that we are diligently working to make them available as soon as possible. For those of you who are patiently waiting I present these offerings.
Book four is titled Mosstar and Belladonna. [The picture is not the actual cover but an idea I’ve had for the cover]. It is another book from Larkin history. As we did in book two, Larkin’s Journal, we will once again join Elder Micah’s history class as he tells his students the exciting narrative of Princess Belladonna’s journal. To keep his students on the edge of their seats, Micah weaves Belladonna’s story with that of Mosstar, son of Cragmore, the great tree laird from the fifth Larkin clan. Not only must both of them survive frequent life-threatening dangers from the natural world around them, but they must also face the Maker’s truth about their own lives. Unknown to both of them is a diabolical plot to destroy them and forever change the future of the Larkin People. Full of adventure, battles, intrigue and some really fun new characters, this book is sure to satisfy the most demanding Larkin fan. [This is actually the first time I let my children give me ideas for characters and the plot for one of my books. That made it really difficult to write but I am very pleased with the final product. I think you will be too.]
Book five in the Tales of Larkin series is entitled Fiery Trial. [Sorry but the cover hasn’t been designed yet]. Even though it is the fifth book it is actually the third part of the story of Hawthorn and his friends. This story tales place two years after the end of book three. The tale begins with Hawthorn, who is now a young Larkin warrior, and three others making a dangerous trip through the forest to get help for their clan, and it ends in one of the most desperate life or death races the Larkin have ever faced. In between those two events is a lot of “hold-on-to-your-seat” fun. With a few new characters and many of your old favorites, this book will satisfy every fan’s desire to know what happens to your Larkin friends.
I hope this gives you a little something to chew on as we do our best to make these fun and God-honoring stories ready for you. If you have any questions send me an email at StoriesChangeHearts@gmail.com. May God’s richest blessings be to each of you!
